YSFON Begins Registration For 2011 Season
Registration for the 2011 Rivers State Youths Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), grassroots soccer championship has commenced.
This was made known yesterday by the state secretary of YSFON, Collins Kemka Wejinya, during an exclusive interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
According to him, all the youth football clubs from the 23 local government area of Rivers State are invited to enter for the 2011 soccer season.
He continued that the offer is open for clubs to register their players from the age-bracket of 12 – 18 years old.
Wejinya explained that this year’s championship is unique, as Trophies, soccer Diploma certificates and cash awards will be presented to deserving players and youth clubs.
The 2011 Rivers State Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) grassroots football competition, is solely sponsored by Eze (Dr) Sampson O. Ovua, JP, the paramount Ruler of Ibaa/Obelle clan, in Emohua Local Government Area of the state.
Interested youth clubs are advised to contact the state secretary Mr. Wejinya, at the (YSFON) secretariat, Alfred Diete-Spiff Sports Complex, Port Harcourt, for further details.
Also, entries would end by next month and late entry will not be entertained.
