The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State has given reasons for successfully organising the South-South presidential campaign rally in Port Harcourt last Saturday, attributing the success to the synergy existing between the Rivers State Government and the  party in the state.

The state Secretary of PDP, Hon. Adokiye Oruwari who bared his mind in an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt said the rally was a success  because it was properly planned by the party and the state government, noting that the government and the party worked in synergy to ensure that it became a huge success.

According to him, the success of the rally was because of the synergy, cooperation, fraternisation and brotherliness existing between the government and the party.

The PDP scribe, however, noted that the task before the party was to work extra hard to ensure that the state governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the party’s senatorial  candidates, House of Representatives candidates and the state House of Assembly candidates of the party were victorious at the polls.

He urged candidates of other political parties in the state to base their electioneering campaigns on issues and avoid campaigns of mudslinging, character assassination and calumny.
