New 2 Brigade Commander Takes Over

Authorities of Nigerian Army have announced the appointment of a new Brigade Commander, 2 Brigade Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt. He is Brigadier General Tikur Buratai.

In a statement signed by Major Aminu Iliyau, Brigade’s Public Relations Officer, the appointment is a routine exercise in the Nigerian Army approved by the Chief of Army staff, Lt-General Azubuike Ihejirika.

Until his new appointment, Burutai was the Director Department of Land Warfare, Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Kaduna.

Last Monday, Brig-General Burutai took over the command from Major-General Johnson Ochoga in a traditional military style at the Brigade headquarters complex, Bori Camp.
