NDDC Handball Clinic Resumes
The maiden Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) sponsored Secondary School Handball Training Clinic that went on recess for the yuletide season has resumed training on Monday through 21st of this month, in Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers State, simultaneously.
Barrister Kwashi Thompson and Tyroll, the organisers of the programme disclosed this at the weekend in Port Harcourt.
According to Kwashi, the coaches and the participants are on high spirit and determined to take handball to the next level in this country, saying that the event is expected to be an annual one.
“I promised that the programme would be an annual event and I believe this training programme will produce fresh handball talents for the country,” Thompson said.
The organiser further revealed that before the end of the training there will be a mini tournament for the participating schools.
He described the programme as huge success and appreciates all those who supports the training in various ways.
“We are very grateful for the supports we received from various quarters. I pray you continue in the same spirit next time,” he stated.
