Following the pace of irregularities  in the process of Land acquisition in Lagos and with the desire of the Lagos State Government (LASG) to check the spate of the Menace, six consultants have been appointed to assist in the streamlining process of  documentation.

These consultants are also to collect and submit qualified applications together with supporting documents from prospective clients to the Directorate of Land Regularization for further processing, as well as sell forms for allocation.

Consultants given authority are Land Records Company Limited, the Reduris Partners, Law Tittle  International Limited, Dynamic Land and property Company Limited, Habitat Concept Limited and Eko Estate Limited.

A statement which was signed by an assistant Director in the lands Bureau, Mr. Moshood Adebisi, explain that part of the efforts of Lagos State government in tackling the problem is the appointment of the six companies as consultants to support the land Bureau in the regularization of  title document and  issuance of certificate of occupancy (CofO).

The consultants are mainly to identify and document already existing houses and properties within committed government acquisition areas  that have no legal title  and building plan approval.

According to the statement, the activities of the consultants are only to use persuasive  and consultative actions towards members of the public in such a way that they would appreciate the benefits of registering their title and regularisation where necessary.

The consultants activities are being coordinated by the office of the directorate of Lands Regularisation at Alanba in Ikeja, while the public are  requested to cooperate with the consultants.
