Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Issa Hayatou has declared he would not run for FI FA presidency against incumbent Sepp Blatter.

Hayatou lost bitterly when he challenged Blatter in 2002 and said: “I will never again contest the FIFA presidency because I am happy with the way things are moving now,” Hayatou told  Tidesports source in Sudan.

“We at CAF are working hand in hand with Blatter and everything is moving on well, without serious issues,” he said.

Blatter is seeking a fourth term in office and will likely face a challenge from the head of the Asian Football Confederation, Mohamed Bin Hammam of Qatar. Election for the FIFA president is slated for June.
