Angels Begin New Season With Victory
Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt has commenced the 2010/2011 League Season on a good courtesy of a 3-0 away victory, in Oshogbo, Osun State, in the week two of the 2011 soccer season.
The match which was played between the Angels and Eragbe Queens in the Oshogbo Township Stadium saw the Angels secure the maximum points at stake with their performance.
Shortly after the showdown, Chief Coach of Rivers Angels, Godwin Okon, said the team is poised to sustain their winning streak this soccer season.
He said that the club would not relent in their good works to secure the 2010/2011 league title and the FA Cup.
“I can assure you that with the performance of the girls (Angels) they will win the league title and the FA cup this season, just as they did last season,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Angels defeated Eragbe Queens 3-0 in the week two match played Monday in the Oshogbo Township Stadium.
It would be recalled that the week one games are awaiting a new date as they were postponed due to the club owners election held a fortnight ago in Abuja.
