Amaechi’s Aide Preaches Non-Violence
Special Adviser to the Rivers State Governor on Pollution Matters, Barrister Dickson Omunakwe has called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Omuma local government area, to shun all forums of political violence and embrace dialogue in conflict resolution.
Barrister Omunakwe, who said this during the inauguration of the Omuma Local Government chapter of the Rivers Youth Movement (RYM) particularly said that the movement would not hesitate to punish any of the members found involving in lawless act.
While describing the event as historic, he emphasised that with the inauguration, Omuma has been launched to the mainstream of Rivers politics.
The Special Adviser also said that the movement would put in place modalities for the re-election of the state governor, Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
While performing the inauguration, the President General of Rivers Youth Movement (RYM) Engr. Richard Alete said that with the event, RYM has come to stay in Omuma Local Government Area.
Engr. Alete stressed the need for members of the group to carry the campaign for the re-election of the governor to all nooks and crannies of the state.
“You must tell the electorate to vote for Amaechi. They must not vote for those that will take the state back to the dark days of crisis” he said.
Also speaking, the Omuma coordinator of the group, Mr Chima Umunakwe thanked the movement for the honour done to them.
