Rivers Indigenous Contractors Undertake 350 Projects

It is now known that indigenous contractors in Rivers State are handling 350 projects currently being executed by the state government in parts of the state.

A breakdown of the figures shows that the local contractors have executed 100 out of the 150 health centres constructed by the state government across the state.

Similarly, 250 out of the 350 model primary schools being constructed in parts the state were being undertaken by local contractors.

The Director-General of 350  an Association of Indigenous Rivers Contraction, Chief Sunnie Chukumele who disclosed this in an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt said that 60 percent of on-going road project being constructed by the state government were done by local contractors amongst others.

Chukumele said that the record is a demonstration of Governor Chibuike Amaechi to keep to his word by putting Rivers money in Rivers people pockets.
