John Obuh has called up 19 players from the Nigerian Premier League into his 34-man African Youth Championship preparatory squad.

Nigeria have been drawn with world champions Ghana, along with Cameroon and Gambia to the tournament which holds in Libya from March 18 to April 1.

Rangers lead the selection with four players. Heartland, Enyimba and 3SC have 3 players each. Supplying two players each to the squad are Niger Tornadoes, Sunshine Stars and Warri Wolves.

All 34 players have never previously featured at national level and are expected to provide competition for the existing group of players, which Obuh carried over from his Under 17 World Cup silver medal-winning squad of 2009.
