MTN Launches Internet Service In Bauchi, Sokoto

As part of its expansion bid to cover the major cities of the country with fast and reliable internet service, MTN Nigeria has launched its revolutionary internet service, the WiMax and MTN HyNet in Bauchi and Sokoto respectively..

The launch of the service in both cities came at the heels of the successful launch of the service in Lagos, Ilorin, Warri, Kaduna, Makurdi and Oshogbo.

Commenting on the launch, the Enterprise Solutions Executive, MTN Nigeria, Babatunde Osho, told newsmen that the HyNet was primed to bring efficiency and convenience to offices and homes by providing internet service that offers unlimited downloads and multi-user capability at extra-ordinary speeds and pocket-friendly rates.

He said the service was suitable for consumers and small and medium scale enterprises (SMES) that require reliable, stable and easy to set up internet connectivity for their homes and offices.

Osho, who explained that the MTN HyNet offers multi user functionality that works without the need for wires said, “with the inbuilt Wi-Fi capability, staff of an organization can access the internet wirelessly within a 50-mere radius”.

He continued “Home and office subscribers can now enjoy and share the internet without limitation to the amount of data they can download. And very importantly, subscribers can chose from a variety of plans and their own download speeds.”

Osho noted that telecoms company delight over the presence of the service in Bauchi and Sokoto adding that it was the fulfillment of its pledge to extend the benefits of the service to more cities and towns in Nigeria.
