Delta State Government has lost its National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) equipments worth several millions of naira to fire in circumstances yet to be unraveled.
The fire is said to have gutted the premises of the project site in Ika North East Local Government of the state.
The incident has, however, led to the arrest of three employees of the construction company over non-ascertained complicity in the inferno.
An eye witness account revealed that the fire was noticed at about 12 midnight on Monday and burnt most of the NIPP project equipment packed at the construction site located at Owa – Eke road, in Boji Boji Owa Community.
