Dolphins FC Maintain Lead
Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt still maintain the leadership of Nigeria Premier League table with 24 points, after they defeat Lobi Stars 1-0 over the weekend at the Port Harcourt Liberation Stadium.
Home boy Captain Ejindu scored the only goal of the match at the 50th minute.
Stanley Eguma, team manager of Dolphins expressed joy over the victory, saying that what is most important in a match is to win.
“I agree that my side did not play as expected today, but we won and we are still on top of the league table which is good enough for us.
No coach will be happy when his team did not play well, but today we have added three points which makes sense,” Eguma said.
According to the team manager, the technical crew will go back and work on the player in the areas of fitness.
“We have enough time to work on the team, while we are doing that we will just take the result as they come.”
Dolphins are currently on top up the table with 24 points from 11 matches played and have their next match with Kano Pillars FC, at the Port Harcourt Liberation Stadium.
