ACN Aspirant Harps On Credible Voters Register
House of Representatives candidate for Etche/Omuma Federal constituency on the plat form of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Rivers State Chief Ambrose Nwuzi has appealed to the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that Nigerians exercise their franchise during the on-going voters registration ahead of the 2011 April general elections in the country. Chief Nwuzi made the appeal during an interactive session with journalists at the weekend shortly after he monitored the on-going voters registration in his area, noted that the country expected nothing less than a credible voters register that would stand the trend of the time. He maintained that if the numerous challenges being experienced in the on-going exercise is not addressed, many Nigerians may not have the opportunity to vote during the April 2011elections. He lamented the stress eligible voters go through to register adding that, such ugly experience can discourage people from registering. Nwuzi used the opportunity afforded by the monitoring to call on the people of Etche Ethnic Nationality to ensure that they register during the exercise adding that, “it is the only way that they can elect candidates of their choice in the forthcoming elections. The House of Representative hopeful said if elected in to office he will ensure that the people of Etche take their position as an oil producing community in the country. He further assured that he would represent the people very effectively and attract federal presence to the area.
