72 Merchant Ships Expected At Lagos Ports

About 72 ships laden with various items are expected to sail into the Lagos Ports between January 26 and Feburary 18.

This was contained in the shipping position made available by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Wednesday in Lagos.

It said that the ships would berth at APM, Tin-Can Island and Ports & Cargo Terminals at Tin-Can Island.

The shipping position also showed that 10 of the 72 ships were laden with the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

The report indicated that 62 other ships were laden with general cargo, vehicles, base oil, bulk cement, Automated Gas Oil (AGO), bulk cement, bulk wheat, steel production, soda harsh and ethanol.

The report showed that six ships laden with palm kernel, bulk cement, containers and rice were also waiting to berth.

 

It also indicated that 22 tankers were waiting to berth at the Lagos ports within same period.
