‘Sharks FC Determined To Stay On Course’

John Obuh, the team manager of Sharks FC of Port Harcourt has said that the club is working hard for more improvement in the ongoing premier league season.

Sharks FC is currently on an impressive run and Obuh has urged the players not to lose concentration.

Obuh, barred his mind while fielding questions from sports journalists after his side trashed Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna, 3-0 at the Sharks Football Club Stadium, Port Harcourt.

According to him, expectations are high from the team\s fans and sponsors considering the fact that they won the WAFU Cup.

“We are working very hard not to lose concentration considering the fact that we just won he WAFU Cup, expectations are very high now and we are trying not to disappoint our fans,” Obuh said.

Obuh, who is also the chief coach of the Under-20 national football team, Flying Eagles explained that the team has been trying its best to ensure that the club finish the season in a good position on the league table.

“We are going to do our best. You know, I don’t pre-empt issues, I like to do my things gradually and with God everything is possible,” he stated.

Home boy, Victor Ezeji opened scoring for Sharks against Tornadoes three minutes into the game, while Bright Ejike, doubled the scores on the 63rd minute. The third goal was an own goal by one of the visitors’ defenders in the closing moments of the match.
