Thuggery:Nwuche Wants DPO Removed
Former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Chibudom Nwuche, has called for the removal of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Ahoada police station in the Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state.
Our correspondent, reports that Nwuche made the call sequel to the refusal of the DPO to respond to a distress call from his supporters who where attacked by suspected cultists at a political meeting held at Ula-Uepata in the Ahoada East Local Government Area last Sunday.
Nwuche who has indicated interest to contest the senatorial seat for Rivers West during the forthcoming election explained that if the police had responded, the injuries inflicted on his innocent supporters would have been averted.
Our correspondent who visited the scene of the incident reported that although broken bottles and blood littered the area, eye witness said there was no casualty.
