Rangers To Get Match Bonuses, Soon
The Chief Executive Officer, Rangers International FC of Enugu, Paul Chibuzor, has said that the Enugu State government has approved the payment of outstanding match bonuses for the club to improve performance.
Chibuzor said in a statement in Enugu that Governor Sullivan Chime had also assured the club of full settlement of all outstanding sign-on fees to players and officials.
The statement said the governor’s promise would be fulfilled in the next few weeks.
It said the “Coal City Flying Antelopes’’ were looking forward to overcoming opponents, especially 3SC of Ibadan who they played yesterday in their Week Seven encounter in the ongoing league season.
“We intend to redeem our good image and performance at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.”
“There is still hope for the club even with a 0-1 loss to new comers, Bukola Babes of Ilorin last weekend in Minna recently.”
“I still have confidence that Rangers has all it takes to reproduce our new found rhythm of trouncing away teams in Enugu with wide goals margin,’’ the statement said.
It attributed the club’s motivation, commitment and team spirit among players, technical crew and management to support from the state government.
“Rangers have the best attacking squad so far in the premier league with 13 goals in five matches and conceding only eight.
“I want use the opportunity to praise the club’s henchmen — Fredrick Okwara, Uche Nwofor, Emeka Nwanna and Brendan Ogbu,’’ it quoted Chibuzor as saying.
