Premier League: Sharks, Dolphins Poised For Victory, ’Morrow
Expectations and anxieties would come to play in the minds of players and supporters of Sharks FC, as the team hosts Sunshine Stars FC, of Akure, tomorrow, at the Sharks Football Stadium, in one of the week five matches, in the Nigeria Premier League.
Sharks, who are currently on eight matches unbeaten run have vowed to maintain their record and grab the maximum three points at stake, as they are optimistic of victory to enable them move forward in the league table.
Confidence Idaa, the media officer of Sharks, said the players were on high spirit and determined to win tomorrow’s game.
“We will not allow ourselves to be beaten again at home, last year, sunshine ran away with three points, but this time around they must surely pay for it.
“We have a formidable team that is void of injuries. We are the team to beat now in the league” Idaa said.
Okey Kpalukwu, general manager of Sharks, has urged his players to go all out to win the game.
“We are optimistic that this season will be different as the club will strive to be at the top and take the team into the desired level Kpalukwu said.
According to him, the players were prepared to make a difference, because they are all showing commitment this season.
“We are not going to allow what happen last season repeat itself again.
Meanwhile, players and officials of league leaders Dolphins FC, have departed their Port Harcourt base for Minna to visit Niger Tornadoes.
Stanley Eguma, team manager of Dolphins before leaving said that they were going to Minna to snatch the three points.
“I know Minna is a difficult place to play, but I also want to say that my players are now doing their things with more understanding and determination to win matches, not regarding the usual away syndrome in the league,” Eguma said.
