PH Club Ready To Partner RSG On NSF

The newly elected president of the Port Harcourt Club 1928, Golden Tamuno, has expressed the readiness of the club to partner with Rivers State government in the hosting of the forthcoming 17th National Sports festival NSF tagged “Garden City games 2011,” billed to hold in Port Harcourt.

Tamuno, disclosed this during an end of year party held at the swimming session of the club last week.

According him, the club is set with all the facilities that would be required of the club to assist in the successful hosting of the Garden City Games, scheduled to hold February 2011.

He continued that the upgrading of facilities in the club is a gradual process, saying that the club would not hesitate to do its best in ensuring that the state host a successful fiesta.

“The maintenance of these facilities is something that has to be done, but gradually”, he said.

He, however, called on well-meaning individuals for the sponsoring of the club in the up gradement of the facilities on ground.

The party was held for young swimmers at the swimming session of the Port Harcourt Club.
