NDDC Handball Clinic Closes For Christmas
The facilitator of the on going Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) sponsored handball clinic for secondary schools in the Niger Delta region, Barrister Kwashi Thompson, has said that the clinic would go on recess from this week for the Christmas celebrations.
Thompson disclosed this while speaking with Sports journalists in Port Harcourt.
He said that the clinic is expected to resume by the second week of January next year.
According to him, the aim of the clinic was to develop new talents in the game of handball.
“The NDDC sponsored event involving secondary schools from Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers State is geared towards developing new talents in the game”, Thompson said.
He continued that the head coaches from the participating states have reported that the programme has began to receive commendations in their various states, adding that the programme would be executed in three phases.
The facilitator further revealed that the clinic would round of first week of February next year.
