LG Chairmanship Aspirant Drums Support For Amaechi

A chairmanship aspirant under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Elder Boma Dabuboye Anga has called on the people of the area to massively vote for Governor Chubuike Rotimi Amaechi during the 2011 elections in Rivers State.

Elder Anga, who made the call while speaking with newsmen in Port Harcourt said the landmark achievements of the Governor speak volume of him as a patriotic and visionary leader, whose giant strides had transformed the state greatly.

According to him, he is optimistic that if given a second chance, Rivers State would be near haven, after the completion of the numerous on-going projects.

 

“I am fully behind Governor Amaechi as the people of Rivers State are enjoying the dividends of democracy in all facets, and that is why I am calling on my people in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area to cast their votes for him again come 2011 elections, he said.

On his ambition to contest, Elder Anga said he wants to give the people of Ogu/Bolo LGA fresh air of human and infrastructural developments, as good governance is the hallmark of development.

He said if voted into power come 2011, he would make the Local Government an industrial base by ensuring that more companies are established, so that the youths could be gainfully employed while an economic culture would be introduced as the Local Government would be known for producing a particular agricultural product in the state.

The aspirant also promised to make fish farming a priority where most of the people would also be engaged actively, adding that he has a vision to transform the Local Government Area.

He enjoined them to maintain their peaceful disposition and thanked the leader of the party, Chief Jonah Tamuno, the party chairman, Israel Iboms, the think-tanks of the party and other faithful for ensuring that the party is in unity.

Elder Anga however called on the people to ensure that they come out en-masse and register during the forthcoming national voter registration exercise to enable them exercise their civic respondibility.
