Jonathan’s Administration ’ll Fast-Track Nigeria’s Dev’

Dr Dalhatu Tafida, the Director General , Jonathan/Sambo Campaign Organisation, has said that President Goodluck Jonathan’s leadership will enhance accelerated development in the country.

Tafida, who made the remark in Asaba on Tuesday during a consultative meeting with stakeholders, added that the Goodluck Jonathan/ Namadi Sambo’s ticket would enhance peace and stability in Nigeria.

He said it was a divine ticket that must be supported by all, and advised party loyalists to go out and ensure they registered to enable them to cast their votes in the 2011 elections.

“This is not the time to sit down and wish, but we should all go out and vote to make one man, one vote a reality,’’ he said.

He said this was important because President Jonathan respected and abided by the constitution and due process.

He emphasised that the vision of the Jonathan and Sambo administration was to ensure good economic management, improved small scale industries, employment generation and improved power supply.

Tafida appealed to the people of Delta to support and vote for Jonathan as the time had come for Nigerians do away with tribal sentiments and work with one another.

“ We should down play those things that bring division and work for the unity of the country,’’ he said.

Earlier, Mr Ahmed Gula, Special Adviser to the President on Legal and Constitutional matters said the team did not come to campaign or market Jonathan and Sambo, but to confirm the unanimous voice that the joint ticket was divine.

He stressed that the party was not afraid of the forthcoming governorship re-run election in the state as it would emerge victorious just as in Adamawa, Bayelsa and Sokoto.

In his response Mr Sam Obi, the Acting Governor of Delta, said the state remained united in support of Jonathan presidency.

He held that Jonathan had all the virtues of a good leader as he was humble and humane, adding that the PDP platform in the state was unshakeable.
