FG Moves To Rehabilitate Ebonyi Water Projects
The Federal Government has awarded a N300 million contract for the rehabilitation of abandoned water projects in Ebonyi State.
Sen. Anyim Udeh, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Aviation, disclosed this on Tuesday in Akaeze in the Ivo Local Government Area of the state.
The projects include the Afikpo Water Scheme, Ebunwana Rural Water Scheme, Akaeze Rural Water Scheme and the Okposi Water Scheme.
According to him, all the projects are to improve the welfare of the people.
He said that under the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Project, a N45 million Emergency Obstetric Care Centre was built at Oso Edda, in the Afikpo South Local Government Area of the state.
“The ongoing construction of classrooms, VIP toilets and boreholes at Amanator Isu, Onicha Local Government Area and Akaeze, are part of efforts I am making to bring development to the people,” he said.
