Expert Blames Nigeria’s Woes On Leadership

based Nigerian Dermatologist, Dr. Nomate Toate Kpea has blamed the continuous under-development of Nigeria on corrupt leadership.
Dr. Kpea stated this during a deliberative forum/reception of Ogoni patriots and philanthropists organised by the National Youth Vanguard for Grassroots Mobilisation (NYVCM) at Bori, headquarters of Khana Local Government Area.
Kpea said though the past had gone, efforts should be made now to redress the ills of the nation, warning against violence during the 2011 general elections in all parts of the country.
He stressed the need for Nigerians to use the forth-coming elections to vote out corrupt leadership, with a view to enthroning those who can take the country out of its present under-development level.
Kpea however told the Ogonis in particular to use the forth-coming election to vote for a leadership that would champion their cause at the various levels of governance in the country.
He advised the electorate to be weary of selling their votes for money arguing that such move would not engender development.
Also speaking, Dr. Terry Bagia cautioned against money politics and intimidation, adding that people must be allowed to exercise their right in a free and fair elections on Bagia also challenged Nigerians to be prepared to defend their votes pointing out that the Ogonis and the rest of Nigerians should not allow themselves to be used by few elements to the detriment of the society.
In his welcome address, the National coordinator, National Youth Vanguard for Grassroot Mobilisation (NYUGM) Mr. Baridilo Paago said that, the orgasiation aims at providing the channels, tools and resources for youths rightful engagement in politics and leadership responsibilities.
