Entrepreneur Gives Recipe For Business Success
An entrepreneur and expert in resource development, Mrs. Modupe Oyekunle has enumerated vital principles that can guarantee success in business and investment.
Oyekunle, who was speaking in a discovery workshop in Port Harcourt for young entrepreneur, which was put together by Master-piece Resources Development Centre (MRDC) stated that every entrepreneur or business person who must go forward in his business must have a clear vision and picture of where he/she is going.
She described a business without a clear vision or objective as a person going on a journey without a destination in mind.
According to her, vision is made up of three vital things which are core purpose, core value and the goal, pointing out that when one is able to answer some basic questions about one’s mission or vision, that such fellow will standout in business
The resource development expert who has been involved in the training of business executive and personel in various companies posited that a lot of people only make money from their business for sometime, but after a while the business dwindles, stressing that what distinguishes any business is the vision and purpose, which will give the tenacity to take right decision when required.
She also encouraged young entrepreneurs on modelling, urging them to look out for people who have greatly succeeded in the type of business they want to go into and study their lifestyle and what distinguished them from others, with the view to copy or build on some of their outstanding styles and qualities.
Another factor for success, she pointed out, is the ability to be courageous to face challenges and also to understand the God factor on every life endeavour.
While urging young and intending entrepreneurs not to start any business with a loan, but can do so when the business grows, she also cautioned that any business venture should be embarked upon based on one’s interest and the ability to undertake such.
She added that ability could be acquired through training or can be inherent as a talent and when talent/ability goes with interest that the business succeeds.
