2011: MD Drums Support For Jonathan / Sambo Presidential Bid

A captain of industry in Rivers State has called for massive support for presidential bid of  president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Nnamadi Sambo come 2011, on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Managing Director of a Port Harcourt-based business outfit, Ogamco International Group of Companies, Chief Chris Okonkwo Ogamba made the call in an interview with The Tide in his office in Port Harcourt last Friday.

Chief Ogamba said as Jonathan / Sambo are with a mission, he is optimistic that they would take the country to the promised land of democratic dividends, describing them as perfect pair.

He advised the electorate to be weary of self-centred politicians who have nothing to offer to the people but to loot public treasury. He said what the nation needed now are leaders of proven integrity that will transform the system and make it work for the good of the people.

He told members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to read in between the line of all the aspirants for the office of the president, insisting that president Goodluck Jonathan towers above them. He described Jonathan as God sent and visionary leader to heal the land.

On Niger Delta, the business tycoon said the area has been producing about 80% of the nation’s economic resources even as the South South has consistently supported Northern candidates for the presidency. According to him,  since this is the first time a candidate from the region is aspiring for the exalted position of the presidents saying that he should be given the chance to lead Nigeria. He however advised all Nigerians to ensure that they register during the voters registration exercise inorder to enable them vote for candidate of theirchoice at the April 2011 polls.
