The Eze Ekpeye Logbo, HRM Eze Robinson O. Robinson, has said that the outcome of the proposed two-million-man march by Rivers State Youth Movement (RYM) would be a confirmation of Governor Amaechi’s total victory in the 2011 general elections.

The Eze Ekpeye Logbo II who gave the assurance yesterday in Port Harcourt during an interaction with journalists stated that the decision of the RYM to have a solidarity march for Governor Amaechi was a clear indication of his victory at the polls next year.

The Eze Ekpeye argued that since Rivers youths were almost more in number in the population of about five million people, their votes alone were enough to return Amaechi as Governor.

He said the idea of the solidarity march for Amaechi was informed by the governor’s dogged efforts to transform the state particularly the rural communities.

The Ekpeye monarch further explained that the planned two-million-man march organised by Rivers State Youth Movement (RYM), also speaks volumes of the overwhelming support Rivers people have for the governor, saying that the people would stand their grounds and resist anyone trying to truncate the smooth governance of the state.

He maintained that Rivers people were confortable with the Amaechi-led administration, while calling on all to ensure that their votes were cast in his favour.

He also called on Northerners to be considerate and vote for President Goodluck Jonathan next year as President of the country.

Robinson revealed that over the years, the Niger Deltans had been supporting Northern presidential candidates, adding that it would be tantamount to betrayal if they failed to support Jonathan in next year’s general elections.

Also speaking, the Co-ordinator of People’s Democratic Party Core Supporters Network (PCSN), Hon Chinda Ogbuji Evans, who appealed to Rivers people to vote for Amaechi in next year’s governorship elections, noted that the only way to thank the governor was to support his bid to run as governor next year.
