Unknown gunmen over the weekend kidnapped a lawyer and two other men during a wake-keeping at Ehuada village, a suburb community in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Eye witnesses who related the incident to The Tide stated that the unidentified gunmen stormed the venue of the burial vigil for one Late Madam Monica Keizer held in a primary school compound.

Frightened by the armed men, the eye witnesses said people scampered for their dear lives as the hoodlums made away with the lawyer and the two men.

The lawyer whose name was given as Barrister Emeka Aama was in the company of Mr Osagie Omoregie and Dr Chigbo Eligwe both of whom were taken away.

The Tide reliably gathered that the kidnappers were yet to make contact with the relatives of their abductees.

The Tide further gathered that Mr Joephrey Keizer whose mother’s burial vigil was being held when the incident took place was yet to make contact with the abductors as well.

No reason had been given on why the three men were abducted. Though the police was yet to confirm the incident as at press time, family members said they had lodged the report with police authorities in Ahoada and Port Harcourt.
