Former LG Boss Assures On Job Creation

Former chairman of Degema Local Government Council, Mr. Tony T.  Philmoore, says he will provide enabling laws that will create employment for the youths, if given the mandate to represent Degema/Bonny in the National Assembly in the 2011 general elections.

Philmoore who is contesting for the Bonny/Degema federal  constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said the high rate of unemployment in Nigeria had continued to cause crisis and underdevelopment to the country, saying, his target was to reduce the employment rate and develop Nigeria through laws.

The House of Representative aspirant who made the pledge in an exclusive interview with The Tide  noted that the pains of the crisis in the Niger Delta region and other  areas was caused by unemployment , misrepresentations and inequality in distribution of amenities in the country, assuring to use the experienced gain while as the chairman  and with the help of others to usher a new laws for the country.

According to him, “The people are voiceless and it is the lawmakers that will provide voice and confidence to the people by producing laws that will give the common people in the society voice”.

He pledged to make laws that will empower the people not by giving cash but making them meaningful to the society and their immediate community by ensuring that they have trade.

The former council Chairman who claimed to have built a Skill acquisition and furnished it In Degama while as Chairman regretted that successful government had neglected skill training and employment which has reduced the growth and development of the country.

He condemned inequality and said one of the point that made him to aspired was inequality in distribution where infrastructure is bundle to only one session without consideration to others.

Pilmoore said he is going back to an elective officer to fight for the common Nigerians and give them better representation which in turn make them appreciate life and other things that bring about development and peace to a nation.

The former Council boss while as chairman said he was able to maintained peace the volatiles communities in Degema, electrified all communities in the local government and countless amenities which spurs up development.
