Church Donates Communication Gadgets To Enugu Govt
Christ Embassy Church has donated thirty units of high technology walkie-talkie to the Enugu State Government to boost security of lives and property in the state.
Presenting the communication gadgets to the state Governor, Mr. Sullivan Chime ,at the Government House, the pastor in-charge of the church in Enugu, Pastor Felix Egwuade said the donation was in appreciation of the good works of the Chime administration in the state.
Pastor Egwuade, who represented the pastor in-charge of the church in Nigeria, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, said Christ Embassy was happy to be part of Nigeria’s golden jubilee, and the peace and good governance in Enugu State.
According to him, “As we celebrate the fifty years of independence of our country, we also celebrate that Enugu State is peaceful, free from kidnapping and political assassination, and enjoys good roads and stability.”
He told the Governor that prayer for the nation and all those in authority for God’s wisdom, guidance and good governance is their sole responsibility.
Pastor Egwuade, therefore, assured the Governor of their continued prayer and support “so that God will surround you with godly-men and women that will give you good advice at all times.”
Receiving the equipment, Governor Chime described their visit and donation as heart- warming and very encouraging, adding that “given the nature of your donation, it shows that you are aware and responsive to the real needs of the people.”
He, therefore, thanked the church and the Police for their efforts to ensure lasting peace and security, adding that these are the areas where government would like to invest more as far as its resources could carry.
The State Chief Executive, who described the issue of security as a very challenging one, promised that the administration was determined to take the Police to the next level in the state.
He appealed to the church to continue to pray for the state, Nigeria and its leaders, and called on other religious organizations to emulate the good gesture of Christ Embassy.
