Aspirant Pledges To Pursue Govt Vision

Mrs. Peace Nwobudu lucky-Ideozu has promised to make a change and carry on the vision of the present administration if elected as a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

Ideozu who is contesting for a seat in Ahoada East constituency 1, under the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) vowed to ensure a new service delivery  and better representation if given the mandate.

The aspirant who regretted that the people are neglected and forgotten after elections promised to make the people of his area and the entire state belong and feel the impact of democracy.

According to her,”” I will first establish a contact, a constituency office to make all members of the constituency to reach me. This will help me know their problems and solving them. It would as well make me meet regularly with stakeholders of the constituency. As I speak with you now, the present lawmaker has no constituency office in his area and this development has caused bridge and wide gap between the people and their representative.’’

She noted that the people of the constituency is yeaning for change and better representation hence she made herself available to the people. The aspirants who is married and an educationist said her people are supporting her electionery  ambition because of her various contributions to some communities in her constituency, stressing that her team have offer free medical treatments to women in the areas.

Ideozu in an interview with our political correspondent at The Tide office said she has offered 15 pupils  scholarship to Nursing /primary school in Queenie America school, a high profile private school in Port Harcourt explained that she has the passion to assist the needy and  to develop her immediate environment hence she is offering herself to the people for a better and quality service to the them.

She however urged the people to be patience over the recently passed Social / Development levy law by the state Assembly. The law which became effective last month saw all taxable adult in Rivers State contributing monthly of their income to sustain  the Health and educational facilities in Rivers state.

Although many have criticized the law saying that the law will only impoverish Rivers Workers in the state.

The law, she said was intended to help sustained the education and health infrastructures built by the present administration ac-ross in the state.

She also said the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) is working to reposition itself and place people that will be a good ambassador to their people, adding that the new dawn has come to bring smiles to the people. The aspirant also commended the party for the 35 per cent affirmative for women participation in politics which she said is firing up the once perceived ‘’weaker sex’’.

This is a new dawn to favour my people and change their live styles. We have to climb up the bridge and bring change to our communities, constituency and local government. This will help and assist and compliment the present administration’s efforts in providing infrastructures to the people’’, she said
