Gov Chime Swears-In 2 Commissioners, Adviser
Enugu State, Governor, Barrister Sullivan Chime , has sworn- in two new commissioners and one Special Adviser into his cabinet.
The new commissioners sworn-in are Mr. Dennis Agbo, who is to take charge of the Ministry of Human Development and Poverty Reduction, and Dr. Fidelia Akpa, who is to man the Ministry of Health, while Prince Emeka Mamah is the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transport.
Until his appointment, Mr. Agbo was the Special Adviser on Inter-governmental Matters, while Dr. Akpa was a consultant at the National Hospital , Abuja .
The State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Chuks Ugwoke, who made this known while briefing Journalists on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting, said the appointments were made based on the appointees’ personal recognition and impressive track records.
Governor Chime, Mr Ugwoke said, used the occasion to charge the new Exco members to see their appointments as a call to service and to justify the confidence reposed in them by the government by serving the State “diligently and with commitment to the development of the State”.
Mr. Ugwoke also said Governor Chime reminded them of the administration’s zero tolerance for corruption and abuse of office, and charged them to exhibit high degree of transparency in the discharge of their duties.
