Abe Not Against Bori State – Group

A socio-political organization in Rivers State, Vision Alive Nigeria (VAN), has said that the former Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Mr. Magnus Abe, will not work against the creation of Bori State if voted into the Senate.

The National Coordinator of the organization, Comrade Baridoge Nwiabu, who said this in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt assured the people of the support of Mr Abe to any programme that would advance the interest of the Ogonis and the entire South- East Senatorial District of the state.

Mr. Nwiabu also  said that, Mr Abe had used his position as Secretary to the State Government to attract development to the zone.

He cited the construction of several roads in Bori, the headquarters of Khana Local Government Area, Gokana as well as other local government areas in the senatorial district.

The group coordinator also mentioned the appointment of Professor B.B. Fakae as the Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), Port Harcourt.

According to him, the presence of Magnus Abe at the Senate would attract federal presence to the entire Rivers South-East Senatorial Zone and urged the people for support.

Mr. Nwiabu also used the occasion to restate the group’s  support for Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and President Goodluck Jonathan administrations.
