Transactions Improve At Exchange
Although the transactions at the end of trading on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Friday showed a little improvement from that crash experienced by investors Thursday, Market is yet to recover from the crisis that led to the sack of the Director General of NSE, Prof. Ndi Okereke-Onyeuke, along with Alhaji Aliko Dangote and others,
Specifically, investors on Friday traded a total of 283,454, 024 shares worth N7.7 billion in 6,398 deals compared to 167,442,993 shares valued at N720.3 million which exchanged hands in 809 deals.
The volume of traded equities went up by 226,709,731 shares or 159.3 per cent from 167,442,993 shares traded on the peak of the sack to saga close higher at 283,454, 024 shares.
Also, the value of shares traded appreciated by N7 billion from N720.3 million, to close higher at N7.7 billion.
PZ led the gainers chart after gaining N1.71 per share. NBC, OANDO and Flourmill all gained N1.70, N1.66 and N1.00 respectivley to square up behind PZ.
Other the other hand, NB and Dangsugar lost N0.95 and N0.35 per share respectively to be in the fore front of the losers chart.
