Pirates To Unleash Otorogu In S/Africa’s Charity Cup
Orlando Pirates are set to unleash one of the Africa’s top rated strikers, Ezenwa Otorogu of Nigeria, when they contest the Telkom Charity Cup tournament at Soccer City tomorrow.
Otorogu missed signing for Pirates last season after helping Nigeria’s Enyimba to reach the semi-finals of the 2008 CAF Champions League where he was also top goal scorer.
With Bucs chairman Irvin Khoza back carrying his cheque book to buy more good players, it seems the Soweto giants have finally found the man to solve their goal scoring problems this season.
“After only a few days at training, Otorogu has shown that he is a top class striker even though his level of fitness might be a little bit of worry,” said a high ranking Pirates’ official.
The Nigerian striker’s agent Mohammed Lawal confirmed that the player was training with Orlando Pirates.
The Mighty Buccaneers are also set to sign defender Ruben Cloete after started training with the club yesterday
