New United Stars President Pledges To Uplift Club
The new president of United Stars Football Club of Port Harcourt, Comrade Emeka Nwibe has pledged to lead the club to the next level and uphold its constitution.
Comrade Nwibe, who said this shortly after being sworn in as president of the club also said that, accountability and fairness will be the overall guiding principles of the new administration.
According to him, the club would tolerate cerate indolence, gossips and manipulations.
“In the course of our duty, I want to make it clear to everybody that division of labour as stipulated within the autonomy of each office would be obeyed.
“If you are the coach, do the work of a coach and if you are the provost, please mind your office, because I will not condone nor compromise negligence of duty” he said.
In his speech, the out- gone president of the club, Mr. Okechukwu Ezeh said that the club under his administration successfully executed all its programmes.
The former president noted that the club did not lose any of its members within the period under review, while two training pitches were acquired following government’s policy that affected the club at Rumueme Girls College, Customs Gate and RSUST playing fields.
He also stated that the club hosted a number of games including such sides as All Stars Enugu, African United FC amongst others.
He further thanked members for their support and urged for the gesture to be extended to the new executive of the club.
