Flying Eagles striker Ahmed Musa says the team are prepared for a very difficult second leg of their African Youth Championship (AYC) qualifier against Guinea tomorrow.

The Nigerian side laboured to a 2-0 victory in the first leg in Abuja, with coach John Obuh confessing that the video scouting of their opponents prior to that game was way off.

Musa said that after that first leg, the squad have no illusions as to the task before them.

“The first leg was a very difficult one for us, but we thank God that we made it and did not concede a goal.

“Now, we are going there and we don’t expect it to be easy at all. Everybody is ready and the coaches have told us that it will be a very tough game, so we have prepared for that,”  he said.

Obuh and his squad flew out to Guinea early in the week, and the league top scorer is confident they will return with progress.

“We are sure that we will do our best to qualify.”

Musa, however, will not be returning to Pillars after the trip, after concluding a deal to join Dutch side VV Venlo.

“I will be going to join my new club after the match. I have just signed a three-year contract with them and they want me to come and join them for pre-season.”
