Three Nigerians To Officiate At Africa Karate Championship
The Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN) at the weekend lauded the selection of two Nigerian referees and a judge to officiate at the forthcoming Africa Karate Championship in Cape Town, South Africa. Clement Iyaluegbeghe, KFN Secretary, told newsmen in Lagos that the Nigerians were among the 26 officials selected by the international karate body to officiate in the championship.
They are Segun Akinola, Emmanuel Metu and Dianne Okoro.
The championship is scheduled to hold from August 1 to Augugust 8.
“I think it’s a great privilege to have our own representatives at this competition.
“After a very long time, Nigeria is being recognised. I think it’s a welcome development for our Federation,” 1yaluegbeghe said.
