A former leader of the Action Congress (AC) in Rivers State, Prince Tonye Princewill has called for stakeholders to discuss the alleged zoning arrangement in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Princewill, who is also a member of the State Advisory Council, said this in a press release entitled,” 2011: War Drum On Zoning Detrimental To Nation Building; Dialogue Is The Panacea,” made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt.

The former AC leader, who has now declared for PDP, said the quest for power should not inadvertently undermine the sanctity of the constitution, saying that “it would be in the best interest of the nation if a stakeholders meeting is convened to discuss the issue.”

The release, signed by his media adviser, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, also used the opportunity to commend the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo for his stance on the zoning, stressing that his position has further dispelled any personal reservation on his decision to rejoin PDP at this time.

He also stated that the emergence of Jonathan as leader of the party and Dr Nwodo as national chairman of the PDP is the best thing that has happened to the country,” as well as the re-entry of Atiku Abubakar into the PDP fold.
