Nokia Wins Superbrands Award
One of the world’s largest manufacturers of mobile telecommunication equipment, Nokia, has for the second consecutive year, won superbrands awards for 2010/2011.
According to the Project Director of Superbrands Nigeria, Mr. Maxwell Marshall, Nokia has distinguished itself in the mobile phone and PDA/Smartphone categories meeting the stringent superbrands criteria as captured in a nationwide consumer survey conducted by Nielsen.
The result of this survey, as well as the selection from the premium and business-to-business categories, were ratified by the Superbrands Nigeria Council.
In his words, “we have enclosed the ‘Certificate of Excellence’ which serves as documentation of your successful assertion of brand excellence. This document stands as testament to your unassailable status as a superbrand for 2010/2011″.
Reacting to this development, the General Manager, Nokia West Africa, Mr. Phillip De la Vega, said ‘Superbrand certification for Nokia Nigeria in two consecutive years will serve to encourage us to work even harder to design relevant products and services to delight our customers.
‘We are more than honoured and privileged to receive this Superbrand award. This is also an affirmation of our goodwill as a partner to our customers. We are most grateful to our customers, staff, and community at large who have extended a vote of confidence in our brand”,Vega said.
