NDP Suspends BOT Chairman
The National Democratic Party (NDP) says it has suspended its Board of Trustees Chairman Aliyu Habu Fari.
A statement issued in Abuja by the National Chairman Chudi Chukwuani stated that the suspension, which was indefinite, was with immediate effect
The statement added that the suspended Board of Trustees chairman was found to be engaging in anti-party activities.
Other reasons listed in the statement that informed the action included, misuse of party funds, breach of trust as well as acting as double agent against the interest of the party.
Our correspondent reports that the suspension was based upon the recommendations of the party’s disciplinary committee.
He said that Fari could no longer speak for the party and would not be involved in the administration and running of the party until further notice.
Meanwhile, efforts made to contact Fari for his comments has so far failed as calls placed by newsmen to his three mobile phones were not answered.
