Heartland FC Appoints Siasia Technical Adviser
Heartland FC of Owerri has announced the appointment of Samson Siasia as new Technical Adviser to replace Kelechi Emeteole who was fired last Tuesday
Heartland‘s Media Officer, Cajethan Nkwopara told newsmen in Aba that the appointment was with immediate effect.
He said that the contract would run for six months and was renewable based on performance.
Emeteole was fired alongside the team’s chief coach, Ben Iroha.
The media officer also said that Chijioke Osuagwu had replaced Iroha and returned to his former position as chief coach.
Reacting to his sack, Emeteole said that it was a big relief leaving the club following problems with its management, and wished Siasia well in his new assignment.
“It is a relief for me because of my several problems at the club,’’ he said.
Emetole explained that the club owed him outstanding amount of money, including sign on fee, two months salary, match bonuses and housing allowance.
“You cannot play football without money. I don’t know how the players and others in the team will perform without salary,’’ he said.
Emetole, however, said that he was yet to take his case to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
