Curtain Falls On 2009/10 Premier League
The 2009/10 season of the Nigerian Globacom Premier League will be brought to an end today after the week 38 matches across the country.
It has been a season characterised by uncertainty at both ends of the league table as serial winners, Enyimba International FC of Aba and former champions, Kano Pillars run neck-to-neck for the title.
Infact, the season’s title will be decided in the tie between Enyimba and Pillars in Aba.
At the wrong side of the table, three clubs, Ranchers Bes, Gateway United and Wikki Tourists are all but condemned for relegation, while any of the six Ocean Boys, Bayesla United, Sharks, Zamfara, 3SC and Kaduna United still have a mathematical chance of joining the relegated teams.
However, Aba is where to be as the season’s trophy will be handed out at the venue.
Enyimba currently leads Kano Pillars with one point and must not lose today to ensure they claim their fifth league title.
