Amaechi Condoles With Late Egobueze’s Family
Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi says the state government would do everything possible to unravel the circumstance behind the killing of the Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Chief Anthony Enebeli Egobueze.
Governor Amaechi gave the assurance Saturday when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Civil Service Commission chairman in Port Harcourt.
The Governor who expressed sadness over the death of chief Egobueze said every effort would be made to arrest his killers, emphasizing that “if those who commit crime are made to pay for their criminal act, crime would reduce in society”.
He hinted that he had already directed the state commissioner of police to ensure that those behind the dastardly act were found, arrested and brought to book.
Governor Amaechi described the slain Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission as a man of integrity, and condoled with the family, urging them to take solace in God.
Responding on behalf of the family, the eldest son Anthony Egobueze (Jnr.) thanked the Governor for condoling with the bereaved family adding that the fami1y has to bear the loss because their father had always taught them to give thanks to God in every circumstance.
The state Civil Service Commission Chairman, Chief Anthony Enebeli Erobueze who is also the Isagba Ajie of Ndoni was assassinated on June 11, 2010 by unknown gunmen in his Port Harcourt residence.
