The governor, who was not happy at the pace of work on some model primary school projects in Port Harcourt particularly the Churchill Primary School warned the contractor to return to site immediately.

Governor Amaechi’s anger was heightened when he discovered that the contractor in question had been paid 100 per cent of the contractual sum, which was done to enable him increase the pace of work so as to a meliorate the plight of the pupils that had been displaced as a result of the construction work.

The governor, who was unhappy with the contractor’s attitude to complete the project, promised to deal with him should he fail to heed the warning to return to site and ensure an early completion of work.
