Wande Coal Clinches Five Hip-Hop Awards
Top Hip Hop artiste Wande Coal grabbed five gold plated headies at the just concluded fifth edition of the annual Hip Hop Awards sponsored by telecommunications giants MTN. The event took place at the Exhibition Hall of Eko Hotels Victoria Islands Lagos on May 29, 2010. It was a night of surprises as late rapper Dagrin was honoured by the organisers and colleagues.
Wande Coal stunned most guests present as he mounted the podium to collect awards after awards which made the guests to go green with envy and ecstatic fever. His first appearance was for the ‘Album of the Year’ which was well deserved followed by “Artiste of the Year”. He also took ‘Best Pop Single,’ ‘Best RnB Pop album’ and ‘Hip Hop Award Revelation of the Year.”
It was indeed a remarkable night for Wande Coal who rounded off the night with a scintillating performance which many could only describe as breathtaking as the crowd stood up for a resounding ovation for an artiste who has shown brighter than a selection of stars put together.
