Sardauna Joins Senate Race In Adamawa
The Sardauna of Mubi Emirate in Adamawa, Alhaji Bindow Jibrilla, has distributed 16 cars and 57 motorcycles to his campaign coordinators to reinvigorate his aspiration for Adamawa North senatorial seat.
The aspirant, who presented the vehicles and motorcycles in Mubi on Friday, said his decision to join the senatorial race on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was to further bring development to the area.
The industrialist said he had 400 workers his employment and flayed the lack of federal government’s presence in Mubi and gave the assurance that he would not disappoint the electorate if elected.
Earlier, the Director General of the campaign organisation, Malam Usman Bukar, said the to presentation of the cars and motorcycles would facilitate the movement of the campaign teams at grassroots.
Also speaking at the occasion, the PDP Adamawa Vice Chairman, Alhaji Nuhu Bakari, lauded the qualities of the aspirant and said the party would provide a level playing field for aspirants.
The Adamawa North senatorial district is comprised of Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha, Madagali and Michika local government areas.
It is currently represented by Sen. Mohammed Mana, who is deputy whip.
