PHCBS Donates To TIMA-RIV

The Management of Port Harcourt City Bus Service (PHCBS) has donated three patrol Jeeps and five power bikes to the Rivers State Road Traffic Management Authority (TIMA-RIV).

The donation was part of the corporate social responsibility of Skye Bank, operator of the Port Harcourt City Bus service.

The head of transport unit in the bank, Mr. Andrew Amadasun said that the gesture was part of the bank’s commitment to support the Rivers State government to boost transportation in the state.

According to him, the vehicles will assist the Agency to check the present chaotic situation in Port Harcourt city and environs.

He also said that the bank in partnership with the Rivers State government has provided 350 taxi and 150 high capacity buses to ply the state.

Responding, the legal adviser to the Rivers State Road Traffic Management Authority, Miss Cleverline Brown thanked the bank for the gesture, stressing that the situation would assist the Agency to carryout its function.

Meanwhile, the management of Port Harcourt Bus City Service has embarked on debt recovery exercise. This was contained in a press release made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt.

The bank urged operators of its taxi scheme who are not update in their payment to do so in their own interest.
