How Emeka Ike Won Gulder Ultimate Search

The maiden edition

            of the Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS) celebrity show down has come and gone as Nollywood star actor Emeka Ike emerges the winner of the keenly contested event and pocketed the sum of N7.5m in addition to a trophy.

He beat Darey Art Alade and Daddy Shockey to go home with the ultimate prize.

To get to this point, seven other celebrities were first evicted from the jungle at La Campagne Tropicana Resort near Epe Lagos. First to be evicted was top Yoruba actress Funke Akindele (Jenifer), the next was Bobmanuel Odokwue, followed by Princess and Obesere before Muma Gee. By the time Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha bowed out, top artiste, weired MC emerged the last celebrity woman standing.

She too was later evicted, leaving the contest for the trio that slugged it out on Saturday May 29, 2010.

The event was anchored by beautiful top actress, Genevieve Nnaji, while Banky W anchored the grand finale at LG Campagne Tropicana Resort amidst pomp. It was gathered that the other participants got N3 million each and were all present to recap their experiences in the 11 week reality TV show.

All the participants expressed gratitude to the organisers for giving them the opportunity to experience life in the jungle, while the winner Emeka Ike thanked Nigerian Breweries Plc for the initiative as well as his fans for their messages and support, stressing that he is humbled by his victory.
